Value added and benefits of the Global Standard. The Global Standard Newsletter #3 is out now
This issue of the newsletter features interviews with three network members from the partners of the Global Standard for CSO Accountability. By examining the experience of Accountability Lab, a first interview looks at how the Global Standard can add value to an international network of affiliates. A second interview explores the benefits of the Global Standard for sub-granting by the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation among local CSOs. And finally, Grupo FARO from Ecuador delves into the two functions – as a learning tool as well as for collective political standing – served by the Global Standard for CSOs in Ecuador.
In addition, this issue features two blog posts by Global Standard’s partners. On the one hand, the Cooperation Committee for Cambodia (CCC) reflects on the use of the Global Standard as a tool for a one-year capacity building program to eleven local CSOs. On the other hand, Accountable Now explores the relevance of self-regulatory initiatives, in particular the adoption of the Global Standard by CSOs, in times where the civic space is shrinking or changing due to external pressures
In this issue, we also share a list of case studies from the Resilient Roots initiative on primary constituents’ accountability.
